Patients can book an appointment to be seen at either Drayton Surgery or Wootton Street Surgery

Please remember:  If you would like to speak to a member of staff "in confidence" please ask to go to a private room.

Routine Appointments

We offer ROUTINE appointments up to 14 days in advance. Our clinics normally operate on weekdays between 8.30am and 11.50am. Afternoon clinics for GP's generally run from 3.00pm to 5.30pm. Nurse clinics operate between 8.30am and 12:30pm & 1.30pm and 6.00pm - please check with reception for specific clinics.

Appointments can be booked in person at reception, by calling the main surgery number:  02392 370422 between the hours of 08:00am and 18:30pm Monday to Friday, by using the Automated Patient Partner Telephone Booking system OR by logging into the Online system (you will need to register to use this service).

Urgent Appointments

We operate a Telephone Triage system each weekday morning.  You will be asked by the receptionist to provide a brief description of the problem for which you need an appointment.  Your name will then be added to a list for a GP or a Nurse Practitioner to call you back to assess the most appropriate person for you to see and whether it is appropriate for you to be seen on the day.  You may be given advice over the telephone, an appointment to see a Nurse Practitioner or a GP, or you may be contacted by another clinician - i.e. a physiotherapist, if your problem is of a muscular skeletal nature.

Chaperones are available upon request - please see separate tab.

Each family member will need to request an individual user name and password to use our Online Service.

To register for this service you will need to come into the surgery with your I.D., which can be a Passport, Driving Licence, Birth Certificate etc.  Once registered you will be able to book, check and cancel appointments, request prescriptions for regular medication, view test results and any coded information which is held in your medical record.

Please Note Taxi Medicals cannot be booked through the above service, as they need a longer appointment time and MUST be booked by contacting the secretaries

Patient Partner - Automated Telephone Booking Service

Just dial the main surgery number and you will be given the opportunity to choose to book, change or cancel an appointment using the new automated service

You will be asked to enter your date of birth in 6 digit format (i.e. 1st January 1960 would be 010160)

Then you will be asked to enter youir telephone number - home or mobile.  You do not need to enter the local dialling code - just the 6 digit telephone number OR the FULL Mobile number.

As long as we have the number recorded in your records you will then be able to make, check or cancel appointments. Appointments are normally available for all of the doctors and some, but not all, of the Nurse led clinics.

Please see the Extended Opening Tab under Opening Hours

These appointments are available to book 48hours in advance.

Please note you may not be able to see your usual Doctor at these clinics as not all the Doctors will be available for each session.

Please ask at reception for more details.

Please Note:

Patients attending for appointments on Saturdays are asked to record their arrival by booking themselves in using the automated screen which is opposite the main reception desk.  There will be reception staff on duty at these sessions but they will not be able to provide a full administrative service.  We apologise if this causes any inconvenience.

PLEASE Remember: if you cannot keep an appointment please let us know .

During August 2018 a total of 180 appointments were lost due to patients who booked them not actually attending.  This equates to approximately 30 hours of wasted GP or Practice Nurse appointments.

Please help us to offer a better service to you all by letting us know if you cannot attend a booked appointment Or if you no longer need an appointment  so that it can be made available for another patient.
